GE Meatball Etch Chroma 50

GE Meatball Etch Chroma 50

Trash find last year. Can anyone date? I have come across these before but they had etches farther from the end. After '92 but before '03, that's all I know.

It's a good, full power, full wattage lamp. Nice color, but, being a Chroma 50, it's not very bright. It has some hours but has many hours left. These '90s-'00s GE F40 lamps lasted seemingly forever.

These don't seem to be available in F40 flavor anymore, as now it's the "Closet & Laundry" CX50...

Back in those days I wasn't concerned or worried that these will be gone someday so I lost track of them

Now I treat even the no-trash-can lamps as something that will be vintage someday. Bought a bunch of varying colors and generations of F15s at Walmart but later gave them away.

Imagine a cross between daylight and cool white, with CRI like CWX...

These are nice lamps. I like the color more than the Sylvania 50's.

I had a pair of these too and miss them. The CX50s in their place are nice too and are brighter, but a little more harsh and the color isn't quite as good.

I'm lampin...
