Nice! Is that a clear diffuser or are there pieces missing from the long sides? Interesting to see a clear diffuser. I guess in that case it's not really a "diffuser", rather just a weatherproof cover.

Please check out my newly-updated website! McCann Lighting Company is where my street light collection is displayed in detail.

I really like outdoor fluorescent lights. I just wish they were more common. The only new installations I have seen are those T5HO floodlights used at car dealerships and nothing beats those in terms of light quality IMO.

Any machine is a smoke machine if you operate it wrong enough.

Yeah fluorescent and induction outdoor lighting is really nice. Virtually no glare compared to MH and LED but still with great color quality. Only issues with them are in cold environments but HO and VHO take care of that. Well, and theres the technical issue of poor optical control. They're good for lighting a large area indiscriminately but are poor for lighting specific areas.

Nice. I see a BP logo also, you don't see that here anymore. All the BPs here converted to Marathon.

Collect vintage incandescent and fluorescent fixtures. Also like HID lighting and streetlights.

I'm in the USA. After the 2010 Gulf oil spill, BP sold off much of its refineries here to others, in order to pay for the liabilities. So you never see the BP signage anymore, which is a shame because I liked the green/yellow look their stations had.

If you go to Google Maps and scroll back through the years, you'll find that this is a new installation!

Streetlights are most often overlooked by society as we go about in life. I have had an interest and fascination for them since I was very little. I love drawing detailed city-scapes and the streetlights are my signature. They always play an important role in my drawings. Like Bob Ross' clouds.
