Yeah only wallpacks I've seen are those "tallpacks". I think they sell them in CFL and maybe HPS too.

Also, a 150W PSMH is 13000 lumens, not 7700 lol. Even a 100W one is 8400 lumens, and these are quartz lamp ratings. CMH is about on par with HPS of the same wattage.

I think I've seen these wall packs at the HD here, but I need to go back in case they've put anything on clearance. I'd like to have one of those PL wall mount lights. One of these wall packs would be nice too, they remind me of the HPS ones at the elementary school I went to. But they're kind of bulky to store.

I remember seeing some HID fixtures on clearance at Home Depot here awhile back. Prices were still high & I never checked to see if they down more. And/or if LED stuff replaced them on the shelf.

Colored Fluorescent's such as F40T12 Red or  Green or Blue are awesome...

Yeah, last I went to HD here it was the same way, with HID still on display but a few LED ones on clearance. It's been a few weeks but I figure the HID is still full price.

Where is HD's clearance section? Couldn't find an area with clearance stuff. Lowes usually puts it right in front of the door so you'll walk right into it if you don't see it lol. I went there today and didn't see any of these, but saw some empty spots for halogen flood lights. Their HID yardblasters were on clearance on the shelf though. $80 instead of $85. What a deal. the HPS ones were $42. So much for any good deals. The HID bulbs were still fully stocked and regular price.

Here, HD usually put electrical clearance out in front of the aisles of electrical and light fixtures.

At Lowes here too they usually put the clearance at the front door in front of the paint department, but sometimes it's at the end of the light bulb aisle, in front of the appliances. Yet other times it's at the end of the light fixture aisles.

Also, I've yet to find any good deals on HID fixtures at Lowes, as they still sell them here. When they were switching from Utilitech to Lithonia, they had some on clearance but I never saw more than a few dollars off and then everything disappeared.

Well I went to HD tonight, and they had no HID fixtures to be found. So they must have cleared the out fast, which is odd because it's only been about 2-3 weeks since I last went and everything was still in stock at regular price then.

But all of the HID floods and area lights are gone. Only halogen floods are left. The display MH and CFL bucket lights were still there, but have been removed from the display wall and are just sitting on the shelf.

Lowes still has their HID stuff but I think they're phasing out too as only the MH bucket is on display. The HPS ones are just pictures and not actual fixtures. Plus Walmart stopped ceiling their HPS area light and only had the MH ones but even those were sold out last I went.

The Menard's stores in my area still carry a full HID selection as well as a nice large display. They have lots of LED stuff mixed in too. I hope it stays this way for a nice long while. When I was really young (like 4 or 5) and I was taken there I always thought the "big orange lights" (HPS yardblasters) were really cool. They still have them on display, too.

I thought the same about yardblasters when I was a kid...except they were all MV back then!

Are you sure they didn't just move them to a clearance area somewhere else in the store?

It was like that here at Home Depot just a few weeks ago. HPS floods, HPS wall packs and area lights and MH area lights. Now all gone.

I looked around a bit but didn't see any. Last time when they had light fixtures on clearance (it was some LED coach lights), they were just on some makeshift tables in front of the fluorescent light aisle. I could have missed somewhere, but then again HD doesn't seem to run clearance as much as Lowes does. Lowes almost always has some lighting on clearance tables whenever I go.

I got the MH and HPS Lithonia floodlight display models for 1 penny each at my local HD.

Wow. I could probably get the display bucket lights here cheap but I'd have to keep going back and hope I caught them put for sale. Though I would have been more interested in floodlights than the bucket ones. Since I prefer a real NEMA head to a yardblaster though.

I actually asked the associate if they "had any of those floodlights in stock" since the tag said clearance and he checked and said they didn't so he asked if I wanted the display ones and he climbed up and pulled them down off the wall.
