This was in Ontario heading towards ottawa. These are most likely HPS 400w or greater.

Interesting to see that its just a bunch of large directional floodlights aimed in random directions.

Most of the ones in this area are the usual ones with anywhere from 3 to 12 HPS fixtures positioned in a ring format pointing down, but for some reason this one was made out of floods.

Looking back, its going to be sad when I travel at night, these are starting to become LED, I don't know how but they managed to make LED ones, last time I passed by, there was a set of 4 poles on the highway each complete with 4 LED units, some other poles had no fixtures on them, just the spokes with wires out so they were most likely being switched

Reminds me of the highmast lights along the DVP in Toronto. Those have a half and half mix of conventional highmast fixtures and floodlights. All the fixtures use 1kW HPS lamps.
