Westinghouse Lamp at Abandoned Pool

Westinghouse Lamp at Abandoned Pool

Click to view full size image

There are multiples of this style head mounted over the now unused public pool in Lind, WA.
Nice sealed enclosures and presumably incandescent? Note the Westinghouse logo cast in the top of the housing.

Wow that thing must be ancient. It kind of reminds me of something Crouse hinds would have made.

MIPS, welcome to L-G! Please make sure all your fixture pics are placed in the Lanterns category.

May all the great lighting technologies have their place in history.

I wasn't aware that there was a difference for the lamps and lanterns. I've moved this one over for you.

is there any possibility you could save these? if so I'd be interested in getting one of these fixtures to restore and put back into service with a remote ballasted 175W MV, 100W HPS lamp or maybe even a warmer colored 175W MH lamp to mimic the incandescent look.. perhaps even maybe an LED but thats my last choice..

Lind is 600km away from me. As much as I love stopping in the small town every time I go through east Washington State I don't think I can help you here.
