Yep, its about time to retire this lamp IMO. Very nice endband. I love when lamps do this. Could you post a pic of the other end

Yeah, a lot of Mainlighters made in the early 1980s had heavy bands like this.

Preheat and T-12 fluorescents forever! Down with LED's and instant start T-8 fluorescents.

My favorite lamp! It still has tons of life I have mainlighters that end bands go even further

T12/ t17 there's a reason they made heavy magnetic ballasts
