Problem we had today with the electric kettle at the storage of Carmel hospital

Problem we had today with the electric kettle at the storage of Carmel hospital

During the morning, the switch of the electic kettle, began to snap to OFF position when moving it to ON position, meaning that workers had to hold the switch to boil water. The problem was eventually disappeared by itself.
Why this was happening?

That's pretty normal with kettles that have this kind of mechanical auto-off switch.
Previous boiling has created conditions triggering the auto-off function and these may persist for a short time (even if the kettle has been refilled with cold water).

All household electric kettles, have a bi-metal strip in the switch, that turns off the kettle once the water boiling.

I"m don't speak english well, and rely on online translating to write in this site.
Please forgive me if my choice of my words looks like offensive, while that isn't my intention.

I only working with the European date format (dd.mm.yyyy).

I hope that LED won't replace all forms of other light
