Lightolier Recessed Can Trim

Lightolier Recessed Can Trim

Saved one of the recessed can trims from the house I've been working in. This is one of six from the kitchen (only saved one though). The reflector is polished aluminum, inside and out, with a flat white trim lip. The socket is a nicer beefy ceramic socket with fiberglass/cloth braided wires.

My plan when I saved this was to make this into another mini highbay light. Whether or not I end up doing that is another story... The reflector is very powerful and seems like it would make a nice narrow beam highbay. Would have far fewer reflector losses than my bucket light highbays lol.

Nice save! I saw some track versions at the ReStore without that metal shade, and they were $8.99.

Current: US 120v 60hz
Power provider: Southern California Edison (SCE)

-Date decoder of some US lamps 1960-present.
-I'll save any vintage lamp... dead or alive! Smiley

If you make another highbay I'd be interested in purchasing it depending on how much it costs.

Any machine is a smoke machine if you operate it wrong enough.

Sure thing. Likely wouldn't be with this reflector though.

To resist is to piss in the wind, anyone who does will end up smelling.

Nice, that looks like to be a similar trim as the ones I have in my 50w PSMH recessed cans. Never thought of turning them into a mini highbay though.
