James's recent coment on this pciture here https://www.lighting-gallery.net/gallery/displayimage.php?pos=-165467

made me realise that I had not uploaded a picture of my example to this forum! mine being a special example made without the reflector or front acid etching

James made this lamp for me a good numbers of years ago, and its a good demonstration of the very thin layer of phosphor coating used to block the harmful UV-C

I hope to post a picture of it lit up soon, I just have to get it out of storage first :)

(im very thankful to James still who made this lamp for me :) )

Nice lamp, didn't know James had this great talent. I thought glass generally filtered UV B and C out anyway, but there are phosphors that convert C/B to UV A as used in fluorescent black lights. From playing with UVC germicidal lamps I notice they must be filtered to reduce ozone production.

Only quartz can pass Vacuum UVC. Special glass transparent to UVC aren't transparent to Vacuum UVC.

I"m don't speak English well, and rely on online translating to write in this site.
Please forgive me if my choice of my words looks like offensive, while that isn't my intention.

I only working with the European date format (dd.mm.yyyy).
