F14/F15 Striplight

Random junk that's been sitting around for years...A F14/F15 "fixture". (not actually a real fixture since its homebuilt). Ballast is a LPF RS.

Something I built years ago, the place where originally I had it was just a little bit too short to fit a F30, so I'd made this out of part of an old drainpipe spout. It got used there for a number of years, but was eventually replaced with a different light.

Eventually got stuck in the garage where it was connected to the door opener - the incandescent socket on that literally fell apart, so I just ran a wire to this. When the opener eventually died (broken gears) this was disconnected and left...where it still resides un-used, years (maybe over a decade) later.

The 2 black boxes on the lamps are in no way related to it.

Cool light! What are the black boxes for?

Power provider: Southern California Edison (SCE)

-Date decoder of some US lamps 1960-present.
-Switch and receptacle collector.
-I'll save any vintage lamp! Smiley

@fluorescent lover 40:
The black boxes are in no way relatedto the light, they're part of the garage-door opener...originally tied to the light as a temporary holding place, and just never ended up getting put where they'd normally go.

@adamrvlx:
Yep there's an EOL in the LOA shoplight ... its been there for a decade or more now
Almost every light in the garage has atleast one EOL lamp.

-----------------------------
Garage lights are:
2 - 2xF40T12 LOA shoplights (each has one EOL lamp)
4 - 2xF40T12 LPF RS shoplights (All but one lamp are EOL)
3 - 3xF96T12 slimline striplights (2 of them have one EOL lamp)
1 - 2xF20T12 LPF RS shoplight (both lamps are EOL)
1 - 2xF20T12 preheat striplight
1 - 2xF21T5 striplight
(and the 1 disconnected fixture you see in the pic..which I don't count)

(all the EOL lamps in LPF fixtures still light at half brightness, so I just leave them (and yes I know I should replace the slimlines...but I don't care, I'll probably upgrade to electronic ballasts anyway eventually))

Colored Fluorescent's such as F40T12 Red or  Green or Blue are awesome...
