I ordered a box of 25 of these for £17 including postage, they've only been banned 1 year and already other colours apart from the standard White 35 seem to be hard to get hold of.

I wish I had bought more years ago when they were originally banned here. Halophosphor disappeared here in 2002 - along with virtually all T12s.....

T12 switch-start forever!!

In Israel, halophosphors are still marketed, but not T12s.

I"m don't speak English well, and rely on online translating to write in this site.
Please forgive me if my choice of my words looks like offensive, while that isn't my intention.

I only working with the European date format (dd.mm.yyyy).

I lives in Israel, which is a 230-240V, 50hz country.

They're rather different from an 827 CFL, a slightly orange tinted white light noticeably lacking some red and green. They came from here: http://www.trilight.co.uk/2ft-18-watt-warm-white-t8-600mm.php

In my opinion ban of T12 tubes are simply a commercial consideration. Slimmer tubes lead to smaller packaging sizes and lower-cost transportation. Less amount of materials were needed too. All these reasons are only for the maximazing of profit. For these reasons technical parameters, operation were not a matter. By good marketing these products were sold while T12, then T8 have not remained as an available option. Best examples of these days T8 high output tubes with a degraded output by the lifetime because of the unreal expectation of the relative high rate radiation of the employed phosphate. This fatal error leaded to its short career of these products. But no matter: we have newer and newer LED-technologies have to be sold!
Anyway can anyone inform me about "TS 183"? What does it mean?

LED-lighting is pseudoscience.
LED-lighting is only a generated demand.
LED-lighting came to life simply by business interest.

Nice warm white color of that T8.

Why I like LEDs on top of other lighting tech?
LEDs = Upgrade 95% of the applications. (That is if you avoid eBay's LEDs).

LED brainwash? No, people uses them cuz they work well for them.
