Put some super glue on it quickly as any Air get in it that will be the end of it.

No LED gadgets, spins too slowly.  Gotta  love preheat and MV. let the lights keep my meter spinning.

Whoa! 98 CRI is the highest I've seen yet.

hmm the /950 lamps are normally 90 CRI. 98 CRI sounds pretty high for fluorescent.

I have a GE F20T12/CW that has a crack on one end and it has been that way for a couple of years. It is in the kitchen light and sees plenty of use. On the other hand, I had two GE T8 w/Starcoat lamps that the ends cracked off of completely while they sat in a box.

Pride and quality workmanship should lie behind manufacturing, not greed.

Your instant start(cold cathode) ballast kills it much faster than this little surface crack

this installation does not see much switching so i.s does not matter.they are wired up for overdrive though.
found that after 3 years when the first tube died that the phosphors were very tired.will replace at 2 years now.still have a lifetime supply of these and sylvania /950.

I had a cracked tube many years ago that I put a piece of that clear cellophane tape on and it lasted till it naturally went EOL. it never did lose vacuum.

Preheat Fluorescents forever!
I love diesel engines, rural/farm life and vintage lighting!

I have a Philips Alto with a crack like this that stil works. It's an F20T12. I also had a full-mercury GE F40/K&B that had a hairline crack and it still worked so i figured it was just a scratch and not a through break and then one time I went to use it and it just wouldn't light. I guess it had finally lost vacuum.

and its still alive.
gets 12 hrs/day.
looks like the phosphors will get beat down by the overdrive before it leaks.

The EOL lamp that use to be my profile picture on here, had a hair-line crack just like this on the opposite end, but it was still able to fire up. That lamp was a T12 34Watt GE Watt-Miser.
