Lowes Lighting Purchases

Lowes Lighting Purchases

Got these lights from Lowes. Not everything is LED at Lowes, but LED infestation is definitely
around the Fixture area unfortunately. Almost no fluorescent fixtures to be seen. Bulbs, however,
are still filled with fluorescent. F96T12 Slimlines... full power and energy savers. F40T12's... same
thing. F32T8's... High Output F48T12's... Halogens, Metal Halides, Mercury Vapor, HPS... literally
everything I like is still being sold at Lowes, pretty much. Just no fixtures.
I bought 6 Sylvania 23w CFL's, (although not as cool as the CFL's I saw when I was a kid) 2 Halogen
72 watt light bulbs, and 1 7w PL lamp for a future desk lamp I plan on purchasing sometime if I find
it online. I also got flirted with by an awesome hispanic cashier there. No filter, whatsoever.
I should've just given her my number. Whatever... anyways, overall a good day.
My main goal was to purchase PL-L 18w lamps from Lowes, but seems as if both Lowes and Home Depot
no longer sell them. Oh yeah one more thing... the Lowes here... still completely lit with fluorescent.

That's great you can still find stuff you like at Lowes! I've used those clear GE halogens and they have really nice light quality and have decent longevity, too. My former workplace had recessed ceiling lights with those plug in CFLs.

Philips DuraMax and GE Miser forever!  Classic incandescents are the best incandescents!

@CEB1993, they use those same 7w PL lamps? Also, I'm pretty sure Walmart uses those PL lamps as well for the diamond display section... literally
all of the Walmarts I've been to, still have them to this day. No LED infestation there.
Side note: I forgot to mention the smiley face on that receipt. That was from the hispanic cashier.

I think CEB1993 means 26 or 32w PL-T lamps. That's cool!

Power provider: Southern California Edison (SCE)

-Date decoder of some US lamps 1960-present.
-Switch and receptacle collector.
-I'll save any vintage lamp! Smiley

Yes, the ones I've seen are brighter than 425 lumens and higher power than 7 watts. My former office used Hungarian made GE PL-T lamps with magnetic ballasts. That's cool how these are still in use in display cases.

@Suzukir122, I'm sure that Lowes is one of your new favorite shopping places

@CEB1993, yeah after today it, as of now, that Lowes is my favorite hardware store. Not because of the cute Hispanic woman who flirted,
but because of the step back in time I felt being there. Those 23w CFL's kinda ruined it, but I bought them anyways since I needed
a little bathroom lighting update. My main goal was to purchase PL-L 18w lamps, but Lowes no longer carries them. Neither does
Home Depot. But AYYYYYEEEE I ain't complaining. Not at all. We still got reliable lighting being sold... although it's unfortunate
they're sold without their gear.
