F32T8-LED retrofit victims here. Haven't tried any yet. Came from the same place as the newer Advance units. They must be decent, as they were there probably 20+ years...

I had removed a few of these from the bathrooms at Aerovox because they had failed. Granted, the building was built in 2000, so I'd say they did fairly well. I had sourced replacement ballasts (full-size 277V only Sylvania Quicktronic) from some 2x2 9-cell parabolic troffers we removed from elsewhere in the building. Replacing the lights in the bathrooms wasn't in the plan so I repaired them with ballasts from other removed fixtures and got lamps the same way. I wasn't able to repair the 32W PL cans though. Over half a dozen dead ballasts and lamps but we didn't remove any from elsewhere in the building so at least the linear wallwash lights over the toilets work lol.

To resist is to piss in the wind, anyone who does will end up smelling.

These are JUNK Get rid of them. (as were most of the other T8 ballasts back then)

The more you hate the LED movement, the stronger it becomes.

They did like 20 years of daily use surprisingly.
