Lighting in one corner of the basically three story shop attached to the house. Fixture on the left is one of those Lithonia commercial-grade, injection-molded wraparound fixtures, with its original Advance instant-start ballast and some GE 5000K LED retrofit tubes. On the right is a Metalux Corp/Gibson Lighting Inc 1x4 flush-mount troffer from my old middle/high school. It has a 3/4-lamp instant-start Advance ballast with a full-size case and some of the same LED tubes and one Sylvania Octron 6500K; for some reason the ballast didn't like three LED tubes.

Originally such fixture came with an Advance .77a Kool-Koil ballast that would cycle. As removed from its original installation, it had GE-made Westpointe (True Value store brand) F40SP41s, but I am sure it had 34w lamps for years. At one point I later converted it to three lamp, with a half-dead Universal Therm-O-Matic which had internally shunted itself for one lamp. Later, I put this ballast in it. The fixture was in several locations (see my older photos) before I installed it here earlier this year.

The LED tubes, yes I know, LED, work much better than the dim eco-low-mercury F32T8s in the cold, since the shop sadly isn't heated, at least not yet!

These are on two different switches, paired with two other non-matching fixtures.
