This has primerily been posted up for Lee, (TL8W) as I believe he is attempting to crack Airam's date code for their fluorescent tubes a Roman Letter followed by a two digit Arabic number.
Although this is not a fluorescent tube, it appears to bear a date code of the same form and I would assume that Airam used the same code for all their lamps whilst operating out of Suutarila.

So this has primarily been posted so Lee can see its etch and overall features to increase his chance of determining the date for one lamp, which will "unlock" the dats if all other Suutarila made Airam lamps.

Are we talking about the date code: D10?

Pretty, please no more Chinese failure.

I have a very similar lamp (in fact from you Andrew), and that is marked D11. I would agree that it looks from 1980s-90s.
Also a 1960s GLS lamp marked S1, a mid 1990s GLS marked M5, and 1980s mercury lamp marked M8 19.
I have no idea how to decipher the dates of any of these Airam lamps, but suspect that the letter may indicate the year and the number the month from 1 to 12.

The letter is indeed the year. It is known that O is in the series so we have a 25 year code if I isn’t used. If we knew the date this factory closed, it would help set an upper limit on the manufacturing date. It has been established that F, for example, is before 1996, as Sylvania had already taken over fluorescent production by that year.

We do not have to agree on anything to be kind to one another. The ability to be civil is available to everyone on earth, for free.

This seems for export, because my Airam catalog not listed any bajonet base.
