Westinghouse F90T17 fixture

Westinghouse F90T17 fixture

Found 3 in the classifieds today. These are a little different than the other Westinghouse fixtures I have. These look like they could be in a continuous row of F90T17 fixtures. These have the channel like the more modern fixtures with removable end plates.

All work with original Ballasts. Only one tube is dead a Sylvania "Lifeline" My second example of a Lifeline tube but 2 of the 3 I have are non functional. One end of the tube is white while the other end is orange and won't start

Mine all came with Westinghouse ballasts but a couple were replaced with GE ballasts before I got them. I highly doubt your GE is original.

I believe all my Westinghouse with the exception of 1 came with original Westinghouse Ballasts. The Smithcraft came with GE Tulamp or Jefferson ballasts. The one Westinghouse that didn't have a Westinghouse ballast was a Jefferson and was an obvious replacement. The Jefferson ballast was 1/2 dead as well so I assumed it was used as a night light and burned for many years.

Yea these do not seem as easily destroyed by dead tubes as the F40 preheat ballasts. When I was given my huge collection of T17s, they were all still powered up, many with stuck starters and glowing ends. None fully worked and only maybe two had one very used tube lit. They had been neglected for years but only one had a bad ballast.
