F72PG17 worn out

Here is a very tired F72PG17 that was having trouble starting. I have used a small propane torch in the past to try to warm up lamps to get them to start. I was heating this one up then it gave a loud pop/crack and I though I broke it. Turns out the brown banding on the end just let loose inside and now you can see the blue discharge. This lamp is very tired and is almost pink when first turned on.

Is the pink color the argon gas? This condition is very common in the Alto T8 lamps
