Welcome to L-G! Awesome lights. The OV-20 is from around 1954.

May all the great lighting technologies have their place in history.

They will be some gumballs comming down
As They getting rid of for other light sources.
Just take time to get ahold of them.

No LED gadgets, spins too slowly.  Gotta  love preheat and MV. let the lights keep my meter spinning.

Yes, it's the second version.

I appreciate the welcome. I've been interested in streetlights for as long as I can remember, when I was 8 I asked my parents to drive over the 3rd St viaduct in Minot because they had incandescent gumball and bucket lights on it; until I saw a CFL-converted radial wave in Concord MA in 2008, the last incandescents I saw in the field were Abingdon, IL in the mid 1990s. The only public mercury lights left are the older mid-century modern lights on the Minneapolis parkways, and a few cobraheads on isolated, city maintained traffic signal masts. I still remember the mass conversion of mercury lights to sodium in the early 1980s in my area (Minneapolis), and now the freeways are being mass-converted to LED. As for actual collecting, I have 50 traffic signals, but I decided it was time to get a few streetlights, since I wanted light in my garage.

If you could find some more OV-20s, I'd love one since my sources aren't able.
