Snow SOX

Snow SOX

Well, it snowed a bit yesterday. I anticipate it melting on Saturday (forecast high = 40) so I can continue to sort and stack the lights but I need to replace the auger belt of my snowblower and finish cutting up the brush pile before winter "really" comes.

There's a design flaw in these lights in that the drain holes easily get plugged up. Every one of the ballasts shows evidence of being damp and about half of them had been replaced, possibly due to getting wet. I removed them to store them indoors for now to prevent future damage. The 55 and 90 watt lights have larger drain holes and more space below the ballast.

Nice! I love the snow! Sadly we never seem to get enough, let alone a white Christmas, where I live.

Don't like snow, it always goes down the back of my neck..! Fortunately we don't tend to get much here.

Clear the snow off the lanterns and cover them with a tarpaulin, that'll stop too much getting in.

Cool picture!

If you were to put one in use, could you just drill the drain holes slightly larger to solve the issue of them getting plugged up?
