It looks gray in this picture lol. I would have loved to get one of these but for how much it cost I could have got a decent graphics card.

Also, is the refractor the same as the older style ones or is it different? I have seen newer 115's with glass refractors that look a lot different.

I just checked and the refractor is exactly the same as the older one I have. You might have seen the really old style ones, which are more like a GE lens than the modern AEL ones.

Ive seen a couple 115s with the oval shape refractors. They were the standard til like 1979 for ae.

Please check out my newly-updated website! McCann Lighting Company is where my street light collection is displayed in detail.

So, are you planning on getting this put up outside anytime soon?

Maybe, but I have to find a good time to do it (when it isn't raining) and it will only be for 1 night because I don't trust my current poles to support it for long. My steel pole can support it, but the way it's designed causes cobraheads to be tricky to install.

are you planning on ordering any more of these anytime soon? I finally got a steady source of income and I found a local distributor that can order from AEL and so I might try to get one of these over the summer.

Yeah, most of us have seen them but with shipping it adds up to a total of over $200. I don't think they would even cost that much new (then again I think AEL is inflating the prices on PSMH to encourage people to buy LED now).

I probably won't be getting any new streetlights for a while as I don't have a steady income stream (unlike you) and my lamp project takes up all the money I do have. One probable reason this 115 costed so much is that not only does it come with a multi-tap MH ballast, it has a deluxe bulb, glass refractor, shorting cap, and a white paint color.

I think the bulb it included definitely added a lot, I looked at the same one in some lighting stores and some were selling it for as high as $80!

No, but I could get it up soon. The main reason I haven't put it up yet is because I want to keep it new and also because it's a PITA to set up the portable steel pole.

I have some 113's and 115's still in the box from the late 90's. 100, 150, and one 250W. I might sell them.

The 115 didn't come out until around 2003. If it's an early model could you get some pictures up of the label and insides?

I will, give me some time to dig some out. I have quite a few, all I know is some have the T&B some A/E. Some 113 some 115. They all all HPS. Sold my MH and MV last year.

What were the metal halide fixtures you sold? If they were 113's those are really rare.

To be honest, I really do not remember as some were boxed and some were out. I was getting out of the collecting business and I did not pay that much attention to them.

Well, if you ever get a 113 in metal halide I'd definitely be interested in buying it. Did you take any pictures when you had the other metal halide lights?

Will do and yes I did. Unfortunately they have long been deleted.

Yeah I have seen that listing before. Total with shipping for me is over 200 bucks, plus it's not in the configuration I want to get. I got a well paying job and so I can set aside some cash to custom order one myself.

I'd love to have one, but far too expensive for me (even with the fact I could make the trip into Denver & pick it up to save shipping cost)

Colored Fluorescent's such as F40T12 Red or  Green or Blue are awesome...

Most of the new installations in my town on streets use the AEL 115 FCO in HPS. I like them, they're nice any shiny. There are also a lot of HPS 113s and a couple HPS and MV ITT/AE 25s, which are one of my favorites. I heard Duke also used 115 FCOs in MV right up to the MV ban, but I haven't seen any here.

Collect vintage incandescent and fluorescent fixtures. Also like HID lighting and streetlights.

I found some FCO mercury 115's while streetview exploring before but I don't remember where. I think it was somewhere in South Carolina though.
