While I don't truly have anything against LEDs (Except the cheap Chinese workmanship causing them to fail quickly) I feel like they have absolutely no character at all...

At least they're the direct-wire kind. I'd never use the ones that run on IS fluorescent ballasts.

I like my lamps thick, my ballasts heavy, and my fixtures tough.

Why not? I'd think they're more intuitive, there's nothing you have to disconnect, they're a direct replacement.

I prefer the idea of bypassing an existing ballast, though.

The ballast is just another failure point, and it wastes energy to keep it in the circuit.

I like my lamps thick, my ballasts heavy, and my fixtures tough.

The LED flourescent conversion bulbs used here at work are direct connect. The ballasts were removed. Not all fixtures were converted, though. There was a pile of ballasts from the LED conversions.Guess they got surplused-the leads were pruned too short to be useful. Some of those ballasts were PCB-that old.

Is this a dummy fluorescent batten with LED tubes similar to this one ?
Also, the "Natural Light" statement is, of course, false, as LEDs gives far less "natural" light than even than daylight halophosphors fluorescents.

Edit: From the last comments, looks like this is a dummy fluorescent batten with pre-installed LED tubes, connected directly to 120V 60hz.

I"m don't speak English well, and rely on online translating to write in this site.
Please forgive me if my choice of my words looks like offensive, while that isn't my intention.

I only working with the European date format (dd.mm.yyyy).

I lives in Israel, which is a 230-240V, 50hz country.

It looks like it's not a complete lantern, but a kit to retrofit an existing lantern.

"Zero ballast replacements"
What about the driver boards?

"Zero ballast failures"
Isn't it a waste to throw away the whole tube when the driver board or an LED (many LEDs run in series) goes POP?

Don't be fooLED, T8 IS the worst thing to do to a magnetic T12 fixture.

Never seen one that was dimmable before...cool. If it works with a normal dimmer, maybe I eventually need to find me some of these, and not mess with trying to figure out how to control a 0-10v ballast.

Colored Fluorescent's such as F40T12 Red or  Green or Blue are awesome...

These are a decent upgrade for those cheap fixtures that don’t have room for a real ballast.
