The upper half of the finned M-1000 freshly painted and drying ! This was sanded to bare metal with 180 grit sandpaper with an air sander then cleaned and primed with self etching primer then lightly scuff sanded with an abrasive pad then cleaned again and painted with 2 coats of Krylon #1403 dull aluminum spray paint and allowed to dry for 20 min. then sprayed with 2 coats of Krylon satin clear coat . The inside was prepped the same except it was given a coat of hi-temp black as original.

Thanks guys ! I started assembling it today with the parts that are finished. I'm hoping to finish it by this weekend . It will live in the house , I haven't decided where just yet

Thanks Everyone ! I typically just clean everything very well and maybe give a coat or two of paint if necessary but this deserved a full nut and bolt restoration .
