GE MOD-U-LINE adapter

interesting that GE makes a 32W Mod-U-Line U bent fluorescent lamp as well

i got this adapter for $2 at a flea market
it works with up to 9W lamps , but the quad type wont fit
5W lamps would work but the adapter says not to use them or the ballast will overheat

This must have been made before GE began selling their PL style lamps under the Biax brand.

I have a combo pack that includes the adapter and a 7w lamp.

Mine also came with a screw down plastic keeper to hold the lamp in place.

The best CFLs are the PL type! GE also has a 40 watt T12 "Mod U Line" lamp. It is the "U" shape lamp that goes in the two lamp 2 foot by 2 foot fixtures.

Preheat Fluorescents forever!
I love diesel engines, rural/farm life and vintage lighting!

This lamp looks like Osram to me . . . The GE i know have a different shaped "U" that resembles "W"

And totally agree that those are the best CFLs, and should be used instead of today's standard CFLs

The American made GE Biax lamps don't have an indentation like the Hungarian made lamps.
