Westinghouse 30 Watt G19 Type D Incandescent Lamp

Westinghouse 30 Watt G19 Type D Incandescent Lamp

Here's a Westinghouse 30-watt G19 shape Type D lamp. Made inexpensively and outside coated. This could be ivory or just a dirty white. I made no attempt to clean this lamp because the paint on these lamps is very fragile.

I don't recall seeing this Westinghouse logo before. When did they use a script-style W for their logo?

Nice find! Odd that Westy used an script W for the logo, wondering if these are made about the same time as the GE type D's in the 1930s and they didn't applied the Mazda trademark to keep the costs down. I have an red one where the paint peeled off when it was taped down to an flat box with some various vintage bulbs I found at Salvation Army. There were 2 other type D in blue and green where the paint didn't came off in with the lot.

Long live the great old 20th century quality in electrical & lighting products!
