I found these in the used bulbs at the landfill today. They are my first 40 watt u tubes. I already tested them and they both work fine. They give off a more soft white color. It is also interesting how the bulbs are stamped on opposite ends. The writing on the bulbs is identical.

August 2002, Monterrey, Mexico. Unfortunately, these are junk.

-Date decoder of most US lamps 1960-present.

-Collects all types of lights.

I'll save any vintage lamp... dead or alive! Smiley

I've worked in a factory.... And I can take a guess why they've been stamped in such a way.... They may have been going down a conveyor and for the sake of efficiency instead of having the "printing arm" go from one right side to the other, they decided to pair the bulbs in twos on a conveyor and have the printer move only about an inch or two every time..

That makes sense. I was guessing the same thing too. So far every bulb I have taken from the landfill works.
