T8 has worse end blackening than T12

Here's a pair of Sylvania F96T12/CWXs next to a pair of Sylvania FO32/741/ECOs. Both GE and Sylvania F32T8s blacken badly at the ends over time, while T12 end blackening looks more diffuse and subtle. This store is mostly T12 lit, a few T8s.

CA seems to have a lot of 8ft slimlines still in use thankfully, with 75 watt lamps too!

Actually most places are now T8 but T12s can still be found here and there. Maybe better than some parts of the country.

I've been noticing a lot of stores using Sylvania F96T8 and wow...they have some of the worst blackening I've ever seen on a non-eol lamp. They look horrendous! They look like they have been switched off and on 300 hundred times a day, which obviously isn't the case. The one in your pic actually looks mild, lol.
