To show you what was the problem, and why I had to capture the moon at a small zoom, here is a picture of the peak of the eclipse using max zoom and infinite distance focus setting:


Lower focus setting, caused much more blurry pictures.
Eclipse began at 22:58, peak at 00:30.

Some lenses focus "beyond infinity" with the infinity focus setting. Many cameras have focusing assistants - highlighting contours of focused objects, magnification of the image centre or beep in time the subject becomes sharp in the focusing area.

I got the camera to repair at Camera Nesher shop, and they detected a problem with the infinity focus setting, when trying to capture pictures of very far buildings and mountains. This camera fell lot of time to the floor and its lens show impact marks.

I"m don't speak English well, and rely on online translating to write in this site.
Please forgive me if my choice of my words looks like offensive, while that isn't my intention.

I only working with the European date format (dd.mm.yyyy).

I lives in Israel, which is a 230-240V, 50hz country.
