Near EOL GE. Pictures not Great but you can see the cathode end is becomming dark. Ran this lamp on a single lamp preheat ballast for about 3 years, average 6 hours a day.

Strange blackening. Usually, they develop a ring about an inch from the end cap.

Preheat and T-12 fluorescents forever! Down with LED's and instant start T-8 fluorescents.

This is a newer GE. I'm thinking the early 90s. But I'm confused cuz there's three more dots after the "T" in electric. Also the other end of the lamp has an end band about 2 inches from the end. Which I noticed mostly with the 90's GE lamps

Still has a way to go for end blackening. It should blacken nicely just barely past the C in Electric

The more you hate the LED movement, the stronger it becomes.
