Here's a lamp I got from a fixture at a swap meet a while back. Unfortunately, it has no markings. Im thinking its a Westinghouse or a Philips Westinghouse lamps. Suggestions?

One more bit of info, the letter and number on the stem press is E7. May 1987?

Very nice! I also have one of these clear 175w Lifeguard lamps. Not sure on the stem press, but is the etch visible at all? That will help. It should be on the BT shape bulb's crown.

Unfortunately, there is no sign of an etch anywhere on this lamp

Try breathing on the crown or rubbing with pencil graphite, too.

Does this look like a Westy?

It's very probable, I just looked at my Lifeguard to compare. What's the base, blue glass? Mine's definitely a Westy.

I know of some probably Philips but still Lifeguard versions doing nightly service at a couple places in old yard blasters, a little greened and dimmed but still usably bright.

Interesting, mine is blue and dates to '79. Anyone care to chime in on what this means?
