I found this at Lowes today . They had both this one and the gray smoked version I've seen these online before and always thought they were kinda cool for a LED . I will however, NEVER GET USED TO SEEING A BT-56 LAMP WITH A MEDIUM SKIRTED BASE !!! It looks weird !

Nice lamp! Time to put this in service in a GE M-1000 or Westinghouse OV-50!

Good quality things are awesome. Cheaply made things are not.

I hope that I would find a smaller 2000K LED filament lamp. These are great for nightlights, as beside using 2700K LED filament, which have less blue output than 6500K LED filament, the golden coating filter almost all of the blue output.
I need to see the spectrum of 2000K LED filament lamps. I think they can be also used as bug lights.

I"m don't speak English well, and rely on online translating to write in this site.
Please forgive me if my choice of my words looks like offensive, while that isn't my intention.

I only working with the European date format (dd.mm.yyyy).

I lives in Israel, which is a 230-240V, 50hz country.

Nice! I bought one of those oversized LEDs at Lowe’s, not the BT56 but the globe version.

I like all kinds of lighting and electrical, especially HIDs and street lights!

It's ok, I just get worried when people (seemingly, anyway) voluntarily buy LED's

What on earth made you think that an LED is cool..? Although it is cooler than a discharge lamp when warmed up, I'll give you that

Our place is well on the way to becoming an LED-free zone, we have none in use anywhere except the cupboard where the gas and electricity meters are, but that will be replaced by a 16W 2D fitting as soon as we can get around to it. There is also a floor lamp by the side of the sofa that will again be replaced when we can get a replacement that uses an ordinary lampholder and not a non-replaceable LED grrrr.

The only valid use we have for LED's is as power-on indicators etc. on equipment, not for lighting.

Same here, but I just can't stand LED's. I might not be so against them if I had a choice, but they are being forced on us now, with nothing else being available, and that offends me. So out they go, simple.

You can still buy mercury vapor, high pressure sodium, metal Halide, and fluorescent lamps at stores like Home Depot near me. They just have a larger section for LED lamps now. Sadly, they only sell specialty and appliance incandescent lamps now.

Not here. Discharge lamps have never been sold retail in the UK. And even electrical wholesalers are rapidly running out of stocks

That’s sad. You can still buy clear MV, MH, and HPS in stores here. SOX lamps are also in stock and sold in 35W, 55W, 90W, 135W, and 180W on Amazon here, costing $35-$50.
They don’t seem to have 18W ones anymore though.

I guess were lucky here (for now anyways) I won't buy any LEDs that can't be replaced with conventional lamps if desired . I did that ONE TIME and it came around and bit me in the a-- !
I've actually talked people out of buying integrated LED products in the stores and steered them towards conventional fixtures and told them "if you want LED than put a replaceable LED lamp inside " explaining to them that in the future when one fails they most likely won't be able to match it exactly and then they'll have to have multiple different styles of fixtures OR replace ALL of the fixtures so they match ! 9 times out of 10 they put the conventional fixtures in their cart.
