The black box is the terminal block, the white is maybe surge protection?

Collect vintage incandescent and fluorescent fixtures. Also like HID lighting and streetlights.

Capacitor?

Power factor correction?

I like all kinds of lighting, except for LED, which I classify as a disease.
- HID lamp and fixture collector
- Vintage incandescent lamp collector
Proudly suffering from Westinghouse Lifeguard sickness since 2019.

Looking up the part number, it appears to be a surge protector made for LED fixtures.

Old lighting is, and will always be, the best lighting.

Makes sense that it would be used with a sensitive electronic driver.
