I used tk have one of these but it was for 1000 watts. I tested each winding with a multimeter and one of them was toast so I tossed it...

At the time I didn't have any doors to stop.

Actually that ballast was my first post on the site!

Did you get it for free??

If you're up to it you can dismantle the ballast and rewind it with new copper windings..

No, It came in this : https://www.lighting-gallery.net/gallery/displayimage.php?album=lastup&cat=0&pos=0&pid=163405 along with a nos Westy lamp and a nos P.C.

As for rewinding this , nah , more effort than I want to put in !

Definitely an aluminum wound ballast...I've seen them melt into a puddle on the bottom of the luminaire.

Your mission - should you choose to except it - is to save unique and rare HID lighting before it's all scrapped.
