Photograph taken during the large W.T. Grants Building fire of 1973. These are some of the biggest conventional luminaires I have come across.

Those are monsters , they appear to have 5 lamps per side ! Unfortunately I'd guess the second one down right in front of the collapsing building probably didn't survive

From what I saw in the aftermath photographs, it still stood after the blaze was contained.

Streetlights are most often overlooked by society as we go about in life. I have had an interest and fascination for them since I was very little. I love drawing detailed city-scapes and the streetlights are my signature. They always play an important role in my drawings. Like Bob Ross' clouds.

That's hard to tell from the picture but they are beasts for sure.

No problem. These type of fixtures are my favourite. Compare the size to the traffic signs or the mail-box, and you can see how big they are!
