Even if he doesn't have a ballast, he could use a 50w PSMH ballast (I believe he a light that has one.) to light it.

Nice find! I didn't know Sylvania Canada made the smaller medium based mercury lamps too. Yeah, I've lit mine on a 50W PSMH ballast before. Works pretty well.

If you use a PSMH ballast to light this, deactivate the ignitor first else you will ruin the starting resistor and it won't work on proper ballast anymore.

home get complete. I happen found a moment on Ebay soon as 75 watt advance
ballast showed up for cheap. I nagged
for 15 bucks. that was few years ago
then found a post top weather proof sola
ballast too in 75 watts. then later 75 watt advance ballast find in Austin Restore.
now this 75 watt kim lighting landscaping light.
so dave Knows He got a propper ballast waiting for him

No LED gadgets, spins too slowly.  Gotta  love preheat and MV. let the lights keep my meter spinning.
