I found this at an architectural salvage shop here in Columbus . I believe it's N.O.S. as the center contact on the base shows no signs of ever being screwed in .

Wonderful, I don't recall ever seeing series-connected street lighting here. We had 500W incandescents in our street when I was very small, but they got changed for 250W MV when I was about 5 or 6. I think this was one of the reasons I became interested in lighting.

I remember my grand parents neighborhood was lit with incandescent post top fixtures. I don't know if they were series or not though. They were all replaced with HPS in the mid 80's .
