Wow... Sorry to see you go, especially considering how long you've been here! Very disappointing that this even has to be an issue on a lighting forum.

Won't go on too much longer except to say that I personally think it's absolutely pathetic such a forum would be used for people to "gang up" on one another.

I think it is horrible that people with similar interests can be mean and or cruel to other people. In the past few years we lost quite a few members for this reason I wish we can all just get along. Sure everybody sees the word different but no need to be mean to one another over their opinion on a certain subject. Sorry you have to go. I will miss your knowledge of the decoding of lamp date codes and factory code.

It sucks that you're leaving, I've learned alot from your pictures and comments in my ten months here. I agree with MVMH_99 , this shouldn't be an issue I mean c'mon , we're here to discuss lighting, not world events!!! I get that everyone has their opinions, but, why can't we all be civil about them? If i see photo of comment I don't like I either ignore it or say my thoughts in a CIVIL MANNER ! I JUST DON'T GET IT !!! good luck Dave, you will be missed!!

Well, I'm really sad to see you go. I have learned so much from you, even long before I joined and was just lurking. I'm also sorry to hear that you have been having issues with other members being jerks. I still don't know what's going on exactly but I have heard it has been ongoing for quite a while.

Dont go, there are always going to be butthurt trolls regardless of the group/forum. I am on several other forums (some not lighting related) and there are always insecure people looking to pick a fight. I havent been on here enough lately to know whats been going on, nor do I really care. However, I do know that you are a valuable member here and many of us enjoy your posts and knowledge.

Heck yeah! You've been on this site, and I think even as an administrator, since I first signed up in 2010. It
would suck to see you or any of the other admins suddenly up and leave

Dave, glad that you decided to stay. Several years ago I left this site and deleted my old account for the same reason as yours...then decided to return after a few years absence under a different name.

In my opinion, there's no need for politics on a lighting site, and it's too bad that we have become so tribal.

Your mission - should you choose to except it - is to save unique and rare HID lighting before it's all scrapped.

I have not been here long and I have seen it as well. Too bad some use it as a personal board and not what it was intended to be. STAY and don't let them run you off. If you do, they have won and you have lost.

@HomeBrewLamps, whats that big thing with the color bands, is it a resistor or a inductor? Because they're pretty familiar with each other.
