Today I scored around 60 lamps and here are a few highlights. Most of them are the 40w GTE Sylvania and the GE Wattmisers, shown on the right. However, there were also a few Mainlighters and some other odd sizes as shown at the bottom, including the really old Sylvania with Steel end-caps and the Toshiba 10w.

Love the Sylvania and the old-school F40BLs!

I like my lamps thick, my ballasts heavy, and my fixtures tough.

One of those F40/BL's had what was left of fluorescent paint graffiti with hippy stuff like 'peace' and the symbol, and flowers, lol.

Great find! I do the same and look for these type of lamps. Current lamps dont work the same.

T12/ t17 there's a reason they made heavy magnetic ballasts
