My mother and I were rifling through at these drawers of my late father stuff in her bedroom and found this example. Fitted with used battery to reduced the light output to display this.

Is there any kind of mercury flashlight?

Why can't we just use led retrofit instead of replacing the whole fixture.

That is on my list of things to create.

And yes I suppose there is, but it is in the for of a "HID flashlight" and I'm not sure if those actually contain mercury or if it is just some other high Pressure gas mixture.
