Greened out LED fixtures

Greened out LED fixtures

This is one of the first LED installation that I've saw in my life and it's located in a tunnel in italy near Como. I think that it should be 8-10 years old and the LEDs are operated 24h/365days@year.
At the beginning they were daylights, now they are about 50% dimmer and completely greened out!

If they're in 24/7 use for 9 years, it's almost 80,000 hours. They've got right to be green!

How does that compare to a Philips-Westinghouse 175w lifeguard merc still burning brightly (with 2/3 of initial lumens) since 1985?

That lamp is the champion, no doubt about that. But this is still very good. Not many HIDs made these days would last over 20,000 hrs. And so many LEDs fry themselves even much earlier.
