I am quite fond of LED filaments. First time using the coated ones, compared side by side with a halogen, it's almost impossible to tell the difference!

They're good but it'd be better if they lasted longer!

Good quality things are awesome. Cheaply made things are not.

15,000 hours is pretty ok IMO especially in a residential application. I can actually see these lasting that long if they are well made enough.

Any machine is a smoke machine if you operate it wrong enough.

The only Sylvania LEDVANCE bulbs I've had die early are the crappy plastic ones! Never had a problem with the filament ones.

Linear fluorescent will never lose to LED!
I am not Anti-LED, as I have some in use at my house.

I have absolutely been saved many times by the plastic envelope on the LEDs around my house...I would never buy a glass envelope if I was going to buy LED...I'm puzzled by the ones i've seen promoting glass as a plus feature.

The idea of glass bulbs is for those who are used to incandescents plus they can be made on old incandescent lampmaking equipment.
