Thank you for this! I was surprised to see that the F40T12 and the F48T12/HO have very different arc voltages.

I like my lamps thick, my ballasts heavy, and my fixtures tough.

I caught that too...Now I'm interested in finding out more on gas fill and how it effects arc voltage! That has sort of been in the back of my mind but looking at this lamp info has me even more curious.

I hear that arc voltage is not to exceed more than 2/3 of supply voltage...with that said, could I parallel a bunch of chokes to power the f48 ho?
Jeremy the funkybulb parallel chokes of f20 to run a t17 bulb.
Maybe a 70 watt HPS choke or a 50w HPS choke and a pl9 choke paralleled?
