This is my salvaged 1kW ballast dried out, tested and painted now working with a MH 1kw load. The camera has shut out most of the light and doesn't give an indication to how bright this actually is.

I don't believe I've seen a 1000w MH with an outer bulb that small before. That's pretty cool!

This is a typical European 1000W MH lamp. European high wattage MH lamps, have this tubular outer jackets, regardless if they are probe-start or pulse-start, and some don't have an outer jacket at all, and are either long-arc or short-arc lamps.
Btw: The ignitor looks like one of the anti-cycle ignitor of Parmar, as it stating on the printing the presence of a timed cutout. How hot restrikes and lamp cycles looks like with it, and how much cycles it does before it gives up?

Please forgive me if my choice of my words looks like offensive, while that isn't my intention.

I only working with the European date format (dd.mm.yyyy).

I hope that LED won't replace all forms of other light

Good question, ignitor pulses continuously, hot restrike in almost exactly 1 minute. I let it run with out a lamp for 10 minutes and it didn't give up trying to start it so not sure how long it would go on for. I didn't want to leave it stressing the ballast for much longer.

That's worrying, the ignitor shouldn't pulse once the lamp has struck.

Once the lamp strikes it does stop but it takes 60s to re-strike the lamp. According to the ignitor it should stop trying after a while, but I am not sure how long it will keep trying with a faulty or missing lamp. It can produce radio interference and stress the insulation in the ballast if it continually pulses. That't why I only let it run without a lamp for 10 minutes.

With cycling HPS lamps, the ignitor would stop its operation after a number of cycle. Also some anti-cycle ignitors, don't pulsing continuously, when they try to restrike the lamp (Eltam ES-PI 1000 ignitors, pulses for 3-5 secs and waits for a 1 min, Europhane anti-cycle ignitors cutting themselves out for 10-60 secs before starting pulsing continuously).
60 seconds is too short for an 1000W MH lamp. I bet that this lamp restrikes after like 2-5 mins.

You're right I quoted the 60sec for SON/T re-start time the Halide took 8 minutes to hot re-strike. I'll put a picture of it up.
