Think this Foreign made lamp probably came from Austria. Well made and from that collection from Yorkshire. Markings on base are not clear owing to corrosion but have been able to make out the important points including the maker.

We had similar ones in the USA before the second war. The glass envelope shape is a D I believe.

Yes indeed the bulb looks just like the USA Mazda 1930s types. Do you know anything about Stesco Peter? I used to have a small 15W GLS from them, marked Made in England. I don't know if they were a manufacturer or just a trading name. Decorative lamps like this were often made in Austria, there seems to have been a factory there that supplied many of the larger manufacturers around Europe.

The only info I have and that is not very much is that this came from that collector in Yorkshire. The Stesco name as far as I know is probably just a trading name the lamp prior to reading the comments thought it may of been from Austria but dont really know, thanks for the info.

Interested in the history of electric lighting and incandescent in particular and neon glow lamps.
