Showing the oiptics on this bollard.
There top dome reflector directs a good beam of light down around the base of the bollard and the conical reflector at the bottom helps to direct some of the light sideways.
The effect is actually quite good with a decent spread of light from the 70w SON lamp with minimal glare.

I'm going to install this at the end of my garden but I think 70w SON is a bit too bright.
35w SDW-T might be better.
