Finished lamp completed and installed on the pole on my patio.
Going to run this for a few days instead of the old trusty 18w Gamma 6!

Making a cameo is the photocell bypass unit that I knocked up years ago.

What was the lamp before the conversion?
It looks like the Philips FGS224 was available in SOX as well.

I"m don't speak English well, and rely on online translating to write in this site.
Please forgive me if my choice of my words looks like offensive, while that isn't my intention.

I only working with the European date format (dd.mm.yyyy).

I lives in Israel, which is a 230-240V, 50hz country.

I don’t think any were ever used in the UK in SOX flavour. Only PL-L.

There is a pharmaceutical factory (not too far from me) which is almost entirely lit with SOX Residiums.
Amazingly they're still there in excellent condition and none of them from what I can tell are faulty.
There's also the odd XGS104s on twin arm brackets too.

Nice conversion!

I do remember that Philips listed the Residium with SOX lamp as an option in their catalogues.

The same for Schréder Altra with SOX.
