Lithonia lighting 2xF32T8 Turret - on

Got 5 of these off ebay as it was a Canadian seller, so no conversion needed for me. They are NOS. The quality is surprising not as bad as I would expect from Lithonia. It still could be better though.

The ballasts that came in them are Sylvania Quicktronic instant start. I plan to convert them to F40T12

Lithonia still makes these and offers them in HO and slimline. I think only in 96inch though. When you converted yours, did it have shunted sockets ? These ones do so I have some proper ones on the way for these. This project is a little expensive but it is worth it since I'll never have turrets any other way and I like the look of these a lot.

All I'll need eventually is some tong hangers for them so if anyone knows how to get some id like to know! Also need tongs for other lights i have too

You made me go digging in the garage!
Anyway, mine didn't have shunted sockets so I looked at one of the ballasts I removed.
It's a T8 Programmed Start so the wiring is the same as Rapid Start.

Nice I knew mine would be shunted sockets so I have some regular ones on the way for mine. The reflector on these is actually thicker than expected. the rest of the body is thinner but overall not as bad as the consumer stuff from them sold at hardware stores. Lithonia offers these in 1/2/3/4 lamp configurations. The 3 lamp would look awesome

Nice! I have two turrets, a tandem F32 one that was originally tandem F40 so I converted it back to F40 and a 4 foot F40 preheat one. The preheat one has the starter sockets integrated into the turret ends. The lamps on this seem to be spaced widely enough to easily add a 3rd set of lampholders in between the existing pair. You'll need a bi-metal hole saw to cut the hole though.

Oh Id do it if I hadn't invested alot of money into these plus Im going for the 2 lamp look because the highschool I went to had lots of them around.

Each of mine came in their Lithonia boxes and had hardware for making them row mounted. Most of the fixtures came with additional hardware like a bracket for joining two fixtures together and a pair of reflector bridge adaptors to cover the space between two fixture reflectors.

Yeah, the ones at my university were mostly two lamp, there were however some four lamp versions in the gym. I've not sure if I've seen a three lamp model in the wild before.

A little late but just saw this now.

There is a high school near me that still has their turrets although they have long ago been changed to T8, those turrets are 3 lamp and have the older integrated type sockets (not snap in). The school only puts 2 lamps in and leaves the middle sockets empty.
