I think in your country you still will find insulators. In the past I received from several collectors, who stopped collecting, their collections.
And many years back in time (thirty years ago when I had still all my hair) I worked for the electricity company. When they broke up the old wooden electricity poles I could save a lot of porcelain insulators.

You can still start to collect them. In the future these things are gone.

Nice comments and a good idea: Insulator Chess. Very nice.
A very good friend of mine who also have some glass insulators put some small Xmas lamps in them. It looks great.

@Daniel f, Not eveything in the world has to be paid for. Lots of items in my collection didn't cost a penny.
You could go for "hunting" Insulators.

friend lampje , unfortunately today everything is sold. up to dignity ... Here in Spain to give away anything......... Even if it is 3 euros or more if you want it, you pay it. In Germany sometimes I see that there are people who even give it away. but if I have to pay shipping, it becomes expensive. then only light bulbs. I already have more bulbs bought waiting to go up here to the gallery
