In my area it was common in the 90's to convert MV fixtures to typical HPS by installing new gear with an ignitor. Now the number of converted fixtures is diminished compared to what has been not so long ago but still there are some left in operation. Recently a single fixture from that small pool went through a second change of light source type and now operates a warmwhite metal halide lamp. This may be the only MH lamp containing OURW250 in the country that is used in public street lighting. The reason for the use of an MH lamp is the vicinity of a zebra crossing, white light is highlighting it among the rest of HPS lit street.
