Fixture designed to be used in level crossing lighting. It has two 150W HPS lamps but normally only one of them which is the main lamp is ignited every night. When it reaches EOL and fails to start an automatic switch turns on the second lamp and a very small red diode which signals failure of the main lamp. That way there will be continuous light till the maintenance worker comes to change the lamp. |
